Web18. aug 2011 · For a 1974 Camaro, 400 small block. This is what has been installed: Hooker Headers 2466-3HKR - Competition Header Darkside Coating Tube Size 1 5/8 O.D. in. Coll. Size 3 O.D. in. Port Shape Same As Port Fits Angle Plug Heads. The plug wire heads are already angled. Tried getting smaller spark plugs - still too long.

Web7. jan 2009 · The header pipe is so close I can't get the spark plug boot on it. we installed all the plugs first then placed the headers on and plug wires. this is when we noticed the end of the plug is almost touching the header pipe. Web21. feb 2007 · If the spark is comming out of the plug cap that's normal the spark is always going to take the path of least resistance to ground. What I noticed with mine was when I started it up in the dark, I could see a lightshow from one of my wires jumping straight to the head where it was lightly touching. Taped em and no more problem.
