This is how I heard of her. And not because of how great her TEDTalk was. Rather, because she made fun of storytelling in her opening. WebBrene Brown is NOT a cure for cPTSD. Her research is just that, and not trauma informed. It sounds like maybe you dislike your therapist for continuing to recommend something that doesn't work for you. It's also completely normal to read a self-help book and not relate.
