WebNope, not possible. Their deaths are scripted, and some of the White Legs are invincible until the caravan members are dead because of that. Damn that sucks. The dlc is pretty good so far at least. Unfortunately the event is scripted and there's no way to save the caravan. I also thought that I had done something wrong when I first entered Zion.
