WebIs it possible to only use the step 1 (two-step treatment) without using the step 2 (balancing moisturizer) It was out of stock at my local store so I only bought the step 1. I wanted to use Amika Kure Intense Repair mask as a moisturizer for step 2. Do you think I should wait and buy the step 2 online, or I will be fine? I apply it with a light hand (because it contains mineral oil or petroleum) and keep in in for 5 mins. Just in case it's actually designed to somehow normalize the hair after the treatment. If you are relaxed, I think it's best to use it either immediately after a relaxer or a week or two after a relaxer while your hair is still relatively straight. Plus it's beneficial to use after a relaxer because the relaxer strips your hair of protein.
