Elite lancer however has 200 base armor, and therefore should take me 34 pellets to completely strip armor (6 * 34 = 204). Where am I going wrong? As for what makes stropha good its a gunblade with a pretty wide cone and some okay-ish range. Can blast down a lot of people at once and both stack up fast and clear out quite effectively. It also has pretty good crit chance even if status is lacking a bit.
