Bittorrent stuck on downloading metadata
WebJan 23, 2024 · I'm trying to download a torrent, but it's been stuck at "Downloading metadata" for at least 10 minutes. This happens a lot. It's saying that there are no seeders and the peers column is show "0 (7)". I'm using Mullvad VPN, and I've setup port forwarding with it, but that doesn't seem to help. Pasting the URL of magnet link didn't work for me but installing the QT version did. First remove transmission-gtk and then install transmission-qt. sudo apt remove transmission-gtk sudo apt install transmission-qt.
WebApr 6, 2015 · Posted April 6, 2015. I had this problem before as well. I'm not sure it's the same for you but my solution was pretty simple. When you open the .torrent file and it asks you for a directory, make sure you wait for it to load all the files in the window before clicking the OK button.
